FAQ

  • Do you sell gift cards?

    • ​Yes! You can buy gift cards on-site at any Recon Brewing location - Butler, Cranberry, or South Fayette. We do not currently sell gift cards online.

  • Are you family-friendly?

    • Yes! We are big family people at Recon and we wanted to make sure our guests felt comfortable bringing their kids to our brewery. We offer a small, limited kids' menu and many non-alcoholic beverages, including juice boxes, for them to enjoy. There are also changing tables in our women's restrooms. We do not currently have changing tables in our men's restrooms. If you need other accommodations to take care of your child, please talk to our team and we will help you get taken care of. We also have high chairs if needed.

  • Are you pet-friendly?

    • Our patio areas are pet-friendly in Butler, Cranberry, and South Fayette. We love meeting your fur-friends! We do not permit pets inside unless it is a service animal. 

  • Do you sell flights?

    • ​Yes! We sell our flights in fours. Select four beers you're interested in trying or ask your server/bartender for recommendations.

  • Do you fill growlers?

    • ​Yes! If you have your own growler, we're happy to fill it for you - even if it's not from us. We also offer 32oz glass growlers, 64oz glass growlers, and 64oz stainless steel growlers that you can purchase to fill.​

  • Where do you make the beer?

    • All of our beer is brewed out of our original location in Butler, PA. We then distribute to our satellite locations in Cranberry and South Fayette.​

  • Do you take reservations?

    • No. Our locations are first come, first serve. If you do have a party of 8 or more, we do appreciate you calling to let us know ahead of time so we can do our best to accommodate your group when the time comes.​

  • Do you have alcoholic beverages other than beer?

    • ​Yes! We understand that some people don't enjoy beer like we do and/or maybe they just want something different to enjoy that day. We also have cider/mead, wine, and specialty cocktails.

  • Do you have a full bar?

    • No. In accordance with our license, we only offer PA wine and spirits. We currently have vodka, bourbon, coffee liqueur, and coconut rum from MLH Distillery out of Grove City, PA. ​

  • What is your mask / vaccine policy?

    • We want all of our guests and team members to be comfortable and safe at Recon Brewing. If you feel safest wearing a mask, we encourage you to do so. If you would feel more comfortable if our team wore masks, we are happy to mask up for you. We do not require masks or proof of vaccination to enter.​

  • Do you have live music?

    • ​Yes! We love supporting local artists and bringing live music into the taproom. Check out each location's page to see who is coming to play near you soon. There is never a cover for live music but we do encourage you to tip the performer if you enjoy their show. If you're interested in playing live music at any Recon location, please complete the Live Music Request form under our 'Contact Us' tab.

  • Do you have a happy hour?

    • ​Yes! Our happy hour is from 4-6pm on weekdays. Enjoy Recon Brewing drafts and appetizers for $1 off.
